The Power of a Simple Thank You

How often do you say thank you? I mean more than just a passing “thank you”. An often overlooked and underrated strategy for your business is taking time to give thanks to your customers.

Mpower Ideation is a living example of the power of thank you. We have survived 10 years without marketing, and have thrived with the simple act of a thank you. Showing gratitude in a genuine way has kept us fresh in our clients’ minds and has led them to think of us when launching a new project.

How can you leverage the power of “thank you”?

First, figure out how your client will best receive a “thank you”. A handwritten note, an email, text or a phone call? There is nothing better than receiving a handwritten thank you note, am I right? Keep a stack of stationery in your desk drawer and be mindful about using it.

Here’s some ideas to get you started:

  1. I wanted to take a moment to thank you…

  2. We are so grateful for the opportunity to help you…

  3. I appreciate your trust and support…

Tell them exactly how they have made an impact.

Give specific examples. What did you appreciate and why? Don’t just be nice, praise works best the more detailed you can be.

Most importantly, be genuine.

Being seen, heard, and acknowledged is a basic human need. Make your clients feel valued and appreciated by writing with personality and sincerity.
