What is a custom website?

A custom website design is a website that is built from scratch and not based on a template. It is tailored to fit your business brand and your business goals. Custom-built websites are flexible, and they will grow as your business grows. They are easily modified, have a better SEO ranking, are built to be responsive and optimized for mobile.

A custom website can help you stand out online by embodying your brand identity and differentiating you from your competitors. A website is one of the most important marketing tools that your business will own. With the right strategy, your website will create value for your potential customers, leading to better customer engagement, and conversions (aka sales!).

A custom website design can be a big investment, but over time your website will provide a return on investment making it an excellent way to level up your business.

I can’t speak for other designers, but I will walk you through our custom website design process so that you can decide if it’s right for you and your business.

Custom Website Design by Mpower Ideation

When you partner with Mpower Ideation for a custom website design, the process will be collaborative and provide a quick turnaround. We’ll start with strategy, followed by design and build, and then launch. Our proven process takes only two weeks for a 6-page build!

1) Strategy!

From our first conversation we will want to hear all about you and your business. Then, we will talk about the fun stuff: website strategy! 😃

We want to know about your business’ purpose, your brand, what services you offer, your customer and ideal clients, and your business goals. We’ll discuss your business competitors, provided content, and determine what functionality is needed to optimize your website.

2) Design + Build

In this phase, we’ll create a site map and wireframe of your website. Next, we will start the design process by building out a prototype of the landing page. Then, we’ll refine the design and content, and build your live website.

At the start of week two, we’ll ask for your feedback on the live build, and implement any changes with up to 3 rounds of revisions. We will also work on optimizing the SEO, test functionality, connect any social media, connect your domain, and update site settings.

3) Launch!

The last Friday of our Two-Week Custom Website package will be your launch day! We’ll hop on a video call for your live training session. We’ll show you how to navigate your Squarespace dashboard and how to easily update your site. Then, before we conclude our call, we’ll transfer files and site ownership. Hooray! You will have a new custom website to help you grow your business, and we will be here cheering you on!
